![If you’re new to dahlias and want a bright, easy variety that pollinators absolutely love, start with Deputy Bob. 🧡
The orange color is electric, bright, cheerful, and impossible to miss in the garden. This variety throws out bloom after bloom and produces a ton of tubers, which makes it perfect for someone just getting started with dahlias. You’ll have lots of opportunities to practice dividing your clumps and will probably still end up with extras even if you make a few mistakes.
Deputy Bob also has great stem length for cutting. While the center opens, she isn’t considered a collarette and actually has a better vase life than most open center varieties.
And the best part, the pollinators love her. You’ll keep the fluffy bees happy and might even catch a few snoozing on the petals in the morning. 🐝
